FAQ

What sets Tumble ‘N Dance apart from other dance/gymnastics studios?

- One-way glass observation windows for parents to view their child’s class at any time!

- Front desk staff available to assist you during regular instructional hours.

- Ability to take multiple classes, such as ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, gymnastics, etc. by only coming once a week. Our specialty is “combination classes”!

- At TND we do not require a specific color or style of class attire. You’re welcome to choose a style of dance/gymnastics attire that your child is most comfortable wearing.

- Families with multiple children enrolled receive registration and tuition discounts.

- We afford our students the opportunity to participate in two stage performances per year; Christmas Show and Spring Recital.

How old do you have to be to enroll?

We accept students ages 18 months – young 3's in our Mom & Tot program. Mom & Tot classes are held per session. For students ages 2 ½ -up and who are potty-trained, we offer single and combination classes. We offer adult classes for ages 16 and up. Offerings typically include ballet, tap, jazz, and stretch/strength/tone. We offer a 5 class card @ a discounted rate for adults.

When and how do I enroll my child?

We offer convenient online registration for all students! In addition, we host Open House and Registration Days for "in person" registration. Registration is open, as spaces are available, until October. We reopen enrollment at the end of December through mid February to fill any vacant spots in established classes. Class assignments are based primarily on a student’s age and skill/experience level. The annual registration fee, along with the first month’s tuition payment, is due at the time of registration.

How and when do I pay tuition?

Tuition can be paid by check, cash, debit/credit card, or money order. Payments can be made over the phone using a credit/debit card, mailed to the studio, in person at TND, or online at www.akadasoftware.com. Tuition can be paid in full for the 10 month season, with a 5% discount. Another payment option is remitting tuition each month. Tuition is broken into 10 monthly payments. Tuition amounts remain the same every month, since tuition is assessed and based on a full season of lessons (min. of 34 lessons). Tuition is due on the first lesson of every month. Tuition is considered late on the 13th of the month. A late fee of $10.00 is assessed if payment is made from 13th-20th of the month. Tuition payments received on the 21st or after, will result in a $20.00 late fee.

What does my child need for class and where can I purchase it?

On our website you’ll see a list of the required shoes, as well as dance/gymnastics attire recommended for your child's classes. These items can be purchased at a local dance supply store or online from your favorite dance supply vendor. Throughout the year we tend to have a boxed selection of consigned dance shoes you can peruse. Just see a member of our Office Staff to inquire. Exact shoes and dance/gymnastics attire is not required for the first class, but recommended by your second class meeting.

You can see our Supplies & Closings page for more detailed information.

Does Tumble ‘N Dance offer performance opportunities for all students?

All of our students, with the exception of our adult classes and our mom & tots,  have the opportunity to participate in two stage performances per year; one at Christmas time and one in the spring. All performances are optional; however it’s recommended for students to participate in order to culminate their year of instruction.

How do I know what’s going on at Tumble ‘N Dance?

The best way to stay in tune with what’s going on is to make sure you check your email frequently and opt-in to TEXTING on your account page. We provide information via email. We also post signage on the front entrance, throughout the studio, and on the central dry erase board. You can always visit our website, Facebook and/or Instagram page, or give us a call if you think you may have missed some important information.

You can see our What's New page for up to date information.

How do I know if the studio is closed for the holidays or for inclement weather?

Please visit our website for our scheduled closing dates. Click on the “INFORMATION” tab and select “SUPPLIES & CLOSINGS” from the drop down menu. In the case of inclement weather, if Henry County Schools are canceled or close early due to inclement weather, then Tumble ‘N Dance will be closed as well. In addition, with emergency closures we send out texts and emails.

You can see our Supplies & Closings page for more detailed information.

What do I do if my child misses a class?

If your child will miss or misses a class, please contact TND to let us know. Parents have the choice of making up a missed class. Missed classes must be “made-up” within four weeks of the absence or the lesson is forfeited. If you wish to make-up a class, please see a member of our Office Staff to schedule a make-up class. Tuition will not be pro-rated, adjusted, refunded, or credited due to absences.

How do you become a member of the Team, Apprentice, or Challenge Classes at Tumble ‘N Dance?

We hold auditions for our Teams & Apprentice each year in June. Being a member of the Competition or Apprentice Teams is an accomplishment and a privilege. Members of our Teams participate in regional and national competitions. TND Challenge classes are staff-selected students who are emerging in their technical dance and gymnastic abilities and show great potential. Challenge classes are a "stepping stone" for a possible future Apprentice invitation to audition. Additional fees are associated with Team & Apprentice membership; including the purchase of premium costumes, rehearsal/choreography fees, competition entry fees, extra rehearsals and performance commitments.
